Owner Ms. Sofia and her team worked meticulously to bring their dream center to life, being hands-on throughout the entire process — from the initial planning stages to the final finishing touches. The grand opening kicked off with a blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by an engaging Singapore Math workshop and parent orientation. Parents and children were warmly welcomed and given an insightful glimpse into the unique and effective approach of Singapore Math. It was a fulfilling sight to see the center packed with eager learners and their families on the very first day — so much so that the team had to open two additional rooms to accommodate everyone.
Adding to the fun, the event featured hotdog and French fries stands, delighting both kids and parents alike. After the workshop and orientation, everyone gathered for a mini salo-salo, enjoying a catered spread of delicious food. This casual gathering allowed parents, children, and educators to connect and celebrate the beginning of a new chapter for S.A.M Marikina City.
A fun fact: Ms. Sofia, the owner of S.A.M Marikina City, began teaching Singapore Math in 2017 with S.A.M Singapore Math – San Mateo branch. Her extensive teaching experience and passion for education inspired her to become a franchisee, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that every student has a fun and seamless learning experience at S.A.M Marikina City.
