There are thousands of workbooks available online, but I have to admit that not all of them are useful or of high quality. I’ve been bouncing from one workbook to the next, from one website to the next, looking for the finest material for my three children, ages 11, 7, and 4. I did my best as a hands-on mom to find the perfect one, and I’m pleased I did.
When I initially had my child, I believed that memorization was the best way to learn. Without recognizing it, I forced my eldest child to memorize everything without realizing it was becoming too much for them. My child was able to remember but not understand. As a result, I decided to change my approach.
I sought assistance from Math professionals and discovered SAM Singapore Math, which made my task more manageable and effective! I would like to share my first-hand experience with you in this blog, hoping to learn anything from it.
I found the right Math program!
As parents, we have a tendency to apply to our children everything we see on the internet in the hopes that they will become who we want them to be. I thought I was doing okay until I noticed that my children were not learning how I expected them to.
Please stop doing this practice and provide them with appropriate learning materials that are not too much for them. It might be highly upsetting to give them more than they can handle in a single day.
SAM Singapore Math has over 30,000 worksheets that have been coded and designed for a given age, curriculum, and phase. Let us keep in mind that our children go through stages of learning in which they must learn one lesson at a time at a specific age. This program is based on the Ministry of Education of Singapore’s standard math curriculum.
The experience is excellent.
My children were assessed when we started the Math program to determine the exact worksheet suited for them. This evaluation looks at how focused your child is and how far they’ve progressed in their learning. This is not intended to judge their intelligence; rather, it is intended to assist them with the best possible learning tools.
We ensure that we give them challenging worksheets rather than uninteresting ones by successfully analyzing their level of comprehension. Remember that our children are motivated by rewards; thus, completing a difficult chore may give them a sense of accomplishment.
How much fun would your children have when working through each worksheet that is tailored specifically for them? Personalized worksheets, like birthday cakes, will help kids comprehend specific competencies at their own developmental stage and learning abilities.
Kids need engaging worksheets
Have a look at how SAM worksheets are structured. The Worksheet Experience engages each student individually in their own designated time for study at home. This regime instills self discipline and independent learning, both necessary skills required in all manner of learning, not just Mathematics.
Our children are drawn to bright colors in general. They enjoy adding more color to a piece of art than is required. Rainbows and colorful-themed celebrations are their favorites, too! Workbooks from SAM Singapore include fascinating worksheets and appealing icons and illustrations. My youngest can complete a worksheet that he does not usually complete.
We know that visuals aid in retaining information in both youngsters and adults. As a result, even the word problems are exciting to look at. I’ve noticed that my children enjoy coloring and answering their own workbooks.
It didn’t end there, of course. I enjoy SAM trainers’ concentrated coaching style, which helped me better understand teaching my children. Professionals are well-versed in this field, and I know they can teach what my children need to learn.
As I mentioned in the opening section of this article, not all worksheets are appropriate for our children. They might be well-made, but they might not be appropriate. Unlike a 4-year-old learner who enjoys seeing Sponge Bob or the Power Puff Girls in their workbook, a 12-year-old learner may lose interest with too colorful worksheets. This emphasizes the significance of seeking professional assistance.
Let us invest in our children’s development by providing them with the correct information, method, and practice during their formative years. What worked for us 20 years ago might no longer be relevant today. Everything is changing these days, including education, and ensuring that our children receive the best education possible is one of the best treasures we can give them.
